About the restaurant

A neighborhood table, alive with steam and spice.

Tucked into a quiet corner of Ssangmun-dong, our kitchen has been serving Seoul locals honest, home-style Korean seafood for decades. The recipes come from Honam — the country's southwestern region famous for its bold, generous flavors.

Every pot of stew is built on fresh seafood, hand-mixed gochujang, aged soy, and time. Sit down, let the pot bubble in front of you, and taste what a real Seoul dinner feels like.

How to enjoy

A four-step ritual for spicy seafood stew.

No experience needed. Follow the steps — and don't skip the last one.

  1. 01

    Let it bubble

Your pot arrives raw and cold. Let the burner do its work — 5 to 8 minutes — until everything is steaming and fragrant.

  2. 02

    Mix from the bottom

Use chopsticks to lift the seafood and toss the bean sprouts up through the red sauce. Every bite should be coated.

  3. 03

    Wrap the heat

Grab a lettuce leaf, add rice, a piece of monkfish, and a dab of ssamjang. Wrap and eat in one bite — the greens cool the fire.

  4. 04

    Save room for bokkeum-bap

When most of the seafood is gone, ask for fried rice (볶음밥). Staff will fry rice, seaweed and sesame right in the leftover sauce. Trust us.

  • "Best agujjim in Ssangmun. The monkfish is meaty, the sauce is deeply flavored — not just spicy. The fried rice at the end is a must."
